October 2020: the FoundSpace Project (Singapore): 𝑰𝒏𝑺𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒇𝑺𝒆𝒍𝒇
I am very grateful for the news that my three self-portraits have been selected by the FoundSpace project In Search of Self. FoundSpace is a collective of artists, art therapists, mental health professionals who promote mental wellness through art and multidisciplinary collaboration. Several institutions are involved such as Singapore University of Social Sciences, Youth Corps Singapore, National Arts Council Singapore.
The team is currently running practice in both Singapore and India, and compiles a sample of self-portraits of artists from around the world that is exhibited simultaneously in the two countries. As this project continues to grow, the artworks would be featured in other contexts, such as magazines, media, art shows, and books. To ensure a qualitive collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the artist will make a video that addresses the topic of self-portraits.
